Today Annie got up early and spent a few minutes whining about Mickey Mouse...can I watch Mickey Mouse...I haven't watch Mickey Mouse in a long long while...etc. So we agreed that if she picked out some clothes and got dressed then she could watch a little Mickey before we had to leave for school. Now this Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show is starting to make me wonder about the writers at Disney, but I'll save that for later.

Anyways, acting as a girl after my own heart, Annie delegated her picking out clothes chore to Tim. Unfortunately, I think it might have been a bad idea. Once I got downstairs I took one look at Annie and asked her if she was wearing one of Olivia's shirts...Tim yelled in from the garage that no, it was one of Annie's. I asked, well why doesn't it cover up her belly button? I guess just looking at Annie in a too small shirt wasn't good enough for Tim to believe that it was too small for her because he ran over to check the tag...guess what! 9-12 months...Mama's right as usual. So Tim ran up to get her another shirt. As I was getting my breakfast ready, I noticed that Annie was struggling to get the new shirt on over her head. I walked over to check it out and, yes...once again...12 month shirt! I'm starting to wonder about Tim...2 shirts in a row the wrong size? Well I guess 3rd times the charm cause the third time he came down with a shirt in the appropriate size.

Poor Bav...

Oh poor Bav...That is my latest nickname for Olivia, kind of a play on how Annie says Baby (Bavee). I like calling her Bavee, but every time I do Bailey comes charging across the room with hopes of a treat or a nice pat on the head so I have to shorten it to Bav. Now whenever Bailey hears me say Bav, he'll just perk up his ears and look in my direction. But anyways, Oh poor Bav...she has had to live all 10 or so months without ever having a cold, runny nose, cough...you name the sickness...she hasn't had it. Until this week that is. I credit her exceptional bill of health to my exceptional lack of cleaning skills. Who knows how many bugs Bav has gotten used to with all the shoes she had occasionally enjoyed chewing on...or all that dog hair that gets stuck in the carpet. Well the bugs have finally caught up with her. She's got a horrible cough and a runny nose. And I have the same cold too, poor Bav and poor Mambo. Let's just hope that Tim and Annie get through it unscathed.

Guess who's got a new tooth!

No, not Annie...Olivia does! Yes, after a rough few days, Maurice finally popped through. I figured Maurice was a good name because the day the Shredder moved in I heard the Steve Miller Band's "the Joker" play roughly 4 times within 2 hours, and I'm not exaggerating! Everyone knows that line in the song that goes "some people call me Maurice, whooowoo"and I took it as a personal message from the Universe that I should have named the tooth Maurice...well here you go Universe...Maurice now resides on the bottom floor right below the Shredder. She' also working on a top floor addition but that will be a few more days.

Other news about 'lil Libear - she can wave Bye-bye! I think she has been holding out on us because every time other time I pick her up, her teacher, Ms. Aye, says in her cryptic form of English, "Oh always she wave bye-bye now we go walk". I've never seen this "wave bye-bye now we go walk" until this morning. Tim and Annie were headed out the door to do some pre-superbowl grocery shopping and Annie waved bye-bye to us and Olivia reached out her 'wittle hand and wiggled her fingers bye-bye to Annie! Well, she actually waved bye-bye to herself, but she will figure it out. It gives me hope that someday she will pick up on the baby signs I've been working on with her.
